John Marshall Hall was born on 8 May 1862 in Normalville, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, the son of Garrette G Hall and Elizabeth Williams.

Garret Hall (31), farmer, and his wife, Elizabeth (31), owned real estate valued at $1000 and personal property was valued at $515, in household with their children, John M, (8), attended school within the census year, William J, (4), and Anna M, (1). All in household were born in Pennsylvania.[1]

John Marshall Hall died 11 March 1936 in South Union Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania of coronary sclerosis, and was buried at Dickerson Run - Union Cemetery, Dickerson Run, Fayette County, Pennsylvania.[7]
