According to the US Census of 1900, John Wesley Hall b May 1876 had a brother William b Feb 1873.
Both brothers were born in The Bahamas and resided in or near Tarpon Springs* or Sutherland or Anclote where they worked in the sponge industry. Although William was only 27 he was listed as Na (naturalized) while his fellows were all listed as aliens.
Their cousin Charles T (Theophilus ) Hall b Dec 1871 lived with them as did Dennis Underwood b 1877 and John A Griffin b 1873 also of The Bahamas. All are from families of the Current Settlement. The census listed all as single.
The census percent is listed as "Precinct 4, Sutherland & Precinct 14, Tarpon Springs & Precinct 18, Keystone Park & Precinct 2, Hillsborough, Florida, United States"
William may have relocated to Key West.
