Levi George was born in 1860[1] to George Hall and Jane Kimble. He was christened on 27 Oct 1861 at Herriard, Hampshire, England. [2] At the time of his christening, his father was gamekeeper to F J E Jervois Esq and the family was living at Herriard.[3]
He married Emma Ellen Cooper in 1884 and the marriage was registered in Winchester, Hampshire. [4]
24 Oct 1883 “The Hampshire Advertiser County Newspaper”: “ILLEGITIMACY,- Levi George Hall was summoned by O. Emma Cooper, of Bishopstoke, to compel him to contribute to the support of her illegitimate Male child.-He was ordered to pay 2s weekly and 18s costs.”
