This profile is part of the Hall Name Study.

Elizabeth was born on the 2nd August 1828 at Potters bar, Middlesex, England and baptised on the 31st August 1828 at St. Giles, South Mimms, Middlesex, England, the daughter of George Hall (Blacksmith) and Louisa Hall of Potters Bar[1].

Elizabeth married Robert Curnick on the 9th April 1850 at St. John the Baptist, Potters Bar, Middlesex, England. Robert Curnick, bachelor, sawyer of Potters Bar, son of James Curnick (Sawyer) and Elizabeth Hall, spinster, of Potters Bar, daughter of George Hall (Whitesmith). Witnessed by Frederick Hall, William Reid, Caroline Smith & Sarah ?[2]

Elizabeth emigrated to Australia with her husband about 1854.

She supposedly died in 1854 at sea, on board ship "Ontario" from London to Australia, although the only entry registered is that of her 3 month old daughter Elizabeth.

Research Notes

Death registration not found - searched Victoria, Austraia Death Indexes Victoria Births Deaths and Marriages and no obituary found at Trove Newspaper Archive

The information relating to her death is what other researches have reported, but these appear to be unsourced Ancestry trees, and they may have assumed the death registration in 1854 is for her, when it is actually her 3 months old daughter.
