Catherine may have been born in Pickill (sic), Denbighshire and baptised in Bangor on Dee, Flintshire on 4th November 1705.[1] She married John Astle on 29th November 1730 in Aldford.[2] She died and was buried in Aldford on 3rd April 1787.[3]
Catherine's baptism is based purely on the fact that no other Catherine Hall has been found being baptised within a realistic area / time period. There is no future evidence for Catherine (or her parents) in Bangor-on-Dee, suggesting that they may have moved, and given the work available on the Eaton estate, it is not out of the realms of possibility that the family would have moved to Aldford.
