Thomas Hall is a part of US Black heritage.

Thomas was born in Virginia in 1909. He was the son of Thomas Hall and Daisy Brown.[1] In 1910 he was living with his parents and great-grandfather in Sapony, Dinwiddie County, Virginia.[2] They were living in the same place in 1920; Thomas's father was a sawmill hand. His great-grandfather was still there and helped the family by making baskets.[3]

In 1940 he was living with his wife Harriet (nee Mabry/Mobrough) and mother-in-law in Brooklyn, New York. They had a 2-year-old daughter, Aline.[4] They had another daughter, Barbara, who was born in February 1936 and died in July the same year.[5] In 1940, Thomas Hall was living in Brooklyn, New York with his wife Harriet. They were lodgers in the home of Mabel and Mitchell Cotter. Aline was not listed in the enumeration.[6]

He married Mattie Lee Best on 11 April 1956 in Goldsboro, North Carolina. At the time of the marriage he was said to be from Brooklyn, New York.[7]

He died on 19 February 1972 in Goldsboro, North Carolina. He was listed as a taxi driver.[1][8]
