William was born in 1825. He passed away in 1863.
The story goes like this William Hall was never in the Civil War, he was killed by bushwackers in 1863, my great grand mother took her four young sons and her daughter to Fort Donaldson a Union Fort and stayed there. Fort Donaldson was conferdate fort until 1863 Tennessee was a Confederate state. Have never found where she filed for a pension for William Hall for his service in the Union Army.
