Biography

Birth

Rachel Hall was born on 13 June 1751 in Mansfield, Tolland, Connecticut to Isaac Hall (1730-1757) and Abigail Swift (1730-1803).

Marriage and Family

She married Hezekiah Crane Jr. (1751-1813) on 14 April 1774. According to Find A Grave, they had 9 children. Her husband was a farmer and dealer in stock. He also served in the Revolution.

Children of the Crane-Hall Marriage

  1. Isaac Crane, who married Sarah Abbe (1771-1847) on 19 January 1795, was born on 20 February 1775 in Mansfield, Tolland, Connecticut. He died on 3 January 1839 in the same place.
  2. John Crane was born on 16 May 1776.
  3. Jesse Crane, who married Rhoda Abbe (1781-1854) on 16 September 1798 in Mansfield, Connecticut, was born on 9 May 1779 in Mansfield, Tolland, Connecticut, USA. He died on 7 April 1862.
  4. Asa Crane, who married Mary Wealthy Babcock, was born on 27 April 1781.
  5. Amasa Crane was born on 27 July 1782.
  6. Abigail Crane was born on 11 June 1784.
  7. Daniel Crane was born on 26 July 1786 in Mansfield, Tolland, Connecticut, USA. He died on 10 December 1812 in the same place.
  8. Seviah Crane (also called Zerviah), who married Thomas Baldwin (1787-1878) on 12 July 1807 in Jefferson, New York, was born on 3 April 1789 in Mansfield, Tolland, Connecticut, USA. She died on 26 January 1867 in Afton, Rock, Wisconsin, USA.
  9. Anna Crane, who married Simeon Abbe (1785-1870) on 15 March 1810, was born on 21 August 1792 in Mansfield, Tolland, Connecticut. She died on 5 October 1822 in the same place.
