He was married about 1864 to wife Syntha.[3] The couple had the following known children:

  1. E. A. Hall was born in Arkansas about 1865.[3]
  2. Martha Hall was born in Arkansas about 1867.[3]

He was married to second wife Lucinda "Lue" on 14 Mar 1887.[4][5] She died 17 Jan 1937 in Washington County, Arkansas.[4] No source has been found for her maiden name and no marriage record has been located.

John & Lucinda had the following known children:

  1. Lillie Hall born in January of 1888 in Indian Territory (Oklahoma).[5][6]
  2. William F. Hall born in July of 1890 in Indian Territory (Oklahoma).[5][7]
  3. John Hall born in August of 1892 in Indian Territory (Oklahoma).[5][6][8]
  4. Annie Hall born in Marich of 1898 in Arkansas.[5][6]

John passed away near Boonsboro, Washington County, Arkansas on 30 Dec 1899.[4]
