Biography
Joseph Antoine André Halleux was born and baptized (Roman Catholic) in Amsterdam on 4 August 1799, son of Antoine Joseph Halleux and Francoise Catherine van Agten.

Joseph Antoine André married Maria Dekker in Amsterdam on 16 July 1823. At their marriage they recognized two children born in Amsterdam as theirs:[2]
- Dirk, born 7 September 1821 (with father's name registered as Antoni Hallen)
- Johannes Antonie, born 30 March 1823
