He was a stevedore on a steamship in 1940. Resided on Wilson St. in Portland. The 1940 Census gives his age as 17, hence b 1923. The Mark Haller who was a registered voter in Portland in 1938 was living at the same address. It may well be that he was older than reported in the 1940 Census.
