After Tomas emigrated (1882) to the United States with his first wife Josefa and infant son Rudolph, he settled in the Czech immigrant community of Yorkville, in Manhattan NY. He worked there as a cigar maker until his death.
He applied for Naturalization and became a citizen of the United States.
He passed away in 1905.
