Ame was born in 1727. Ambrose Shotwell who published the Big Book, Shotwell Annals 1895. has at least 6 places that he has family data for Ame. Every time he utilizes the spelling of Ame for first name (different than her mothers); and each time he only identifies her as the wife of Benjamin Shotwell b1727. No other spouse. This Ame has her 2nd child named Ame b 1750
Possible confusion: Benjamin Shotwell's older brother Samuel is listed with a wife that AM Shotwell identifies only by her first name Ame with no last name. I haven't found a place where he does identify Samuel with a Hallett wife. nor specifically with Ame Hallett
Shotwell's Annals also mentions that Amy and Richard Hallet's "daughter Ame Hallett 1727-96 m 1746, her mother's cousin Benjamin Shotwell, 1726-93". Ame's grandfather was John Bowne Sr, and Benjamin's maternal Great Grandfather was John Bowne Sr. Ame on her paternal side has ancestry identical to Hannah Feake, ancestry of Winthrop, Brown, Gardiner, and likely Tudor.
She passed away in 1796; her burial remains unknown. [1]
