Biography

Timothy was born about 1700 to Jonathan Hallett and Abigail (Dexter) Hallett of Yarmouth, Massachusetts Bay Colony.[1] Though his exact date of birth is unknown, he was the last-born of Jonathan and Abigail Hallett's eight children.[2]

Timothy married (1st) Thankful Sturgis on February 18, 1724, in Yarmouth, Massachusetts Bay Colony.[3]

Wife Thankful passed away on January 10, 1722.[4]

On March 11, 1724, Timothy married (2nd) Elizabeth Hatch in Yarmouth.[5] with Rev. Peter Thacher, Justice of the peace, presiding. The couple had several children, including:

  1. Timothy (1725-1747), d. unm.
  2. Elizabeth (1727-1728), d.y.
  3. Moses (1729-1809)
  4. Elizabeth (1735-1735). d.y.
  5. James
  6. Joshua
  7. Isaac (1742-1814), m. Elizabeth Eldredge (1744-1831)

Second wife Elizabeth passed away on October 23, 1743, in Yarmouth.[6]

Timothy married (3rd) Thankful Jones on May 23, 1744, in Yarmouth.[7] Timothy and Thankful had no children.

"The will of Thankful (Jones) (Jones) Hallett of Yarmouth drawn 6 Jun 1770, proved 12 Feb 1771, mentions ... sons-in-law [step-sons] Joshua Hallett and Isaac Hallett, and the minor daughter of Isaac, Thankfull Hallett."[8]

Timothy passed away on July 7, 1760.[9] He is buried in Ancient Cemetery, Yarmouth Port, Barnstable County, Massachusetts.[9]
