Biography
Sarah was born in Wanganui in 1884. She was the daughter of Alexander Halligan and Elizabeth McCarthy. She passed away in 1958.
Sarah was Alexander and Elizabeth Halligan's 9th child, and their 4th daughter. She was born in Wanganui on 24 December 1884. Sarah was about 4 years old when her father died. She was raised in Wanganui and lived in St Hill Street. She attended Wanganui Girls' school in Wanganui.
On 22 Dec 1913 Sarah (Sara) married Roy Stephenson, an engineer. They lived in Auckland and had two daughters Irene and Mona.
Sarah died in Auckland in 1958 and her ashes are buried in Waikumete Cemetery.
