  • Jean Meador

Doris Jean Hallmark Ruddock Meador peacefully left this Earth to meet her Maker on November 8, 2010 surrounded by her devoted family. Jean was born in Gonzales County, Texas on October 31, 1934. She retired from Pasadena Independent School District as a master teacher after 24 years of service. During her retirement, she practiced her talents as an accomplished author and artist. She was an active member of the Bay Area Writer's League for many years. Her greatest God-given gifts, however, were her Light that drew all who knew her toward her sweet, gentle spirit and her unconditional love and devotion for her family. She resided in Pasadena and Seabrook for over 50 years after which she returned to Gonzales where she has resided for the last two years. She was a member of Emmanuel Fellowship Church in Gonzales. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nathan and Gertrude Hallmark, brother, Houston Hallmark and husband, Thomas C. Meador, Jr. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Dawn and Bill McMillon, Roxann and Greg Pradt, Tory and Robert Hart and Michelle and Tom Kenney, grandchildren, Cody McMillon, Shala Kelley, Havilah McMillon, Justin Pradt & wife Nicole, Mason Pradt, Jade Emanuel, Amber Emanuel, Chris Hart, Cole Kenney, Ally Kenney and 10 great-grandchildren along with Pat and Don Logan. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 12, 2010, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Grand View Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held...
