Biography
William F. Halmich, born in Germany in 1841, was the son of Amendis Halmich and Johanna Breitzel. He was the last of their eight children. William married Mary Wolf on 12 April 1864 in Michigan. They had thirteen children. William died in Michigan in 1921. In 1880, the Halmich family lived in Warren, Macomb, Michigan. The family included William Halmich, a farmer, born in Germany (parents b. Germany); his wife Mary; and their seven children, aged 0-15. [2]
In 1900, they lived in Warren, Macomb, Michigan. The household included William Halmich, 59; his wife of 36 years, Mary, 56, who had had twelve children; their four children; and two other unrelated persons. [3]
William F. Halmich, 1841-1921, is buried at Saint Clement Cemetery, Center Line, Michigan. Much of his family is buried there including his parents, four siblings, his wife, her parents, twelve of his children, and other family. [4]
