Matthew and Charles:

Halpain-1 and Halpain-62 are the same, I proposed a merge about a month ago, and neither profile manager is responding. Are you all still active on Wikitree?

Halpain-62 and Halpain-1 appear to represent the same person because: They are the same.

Both Halpain-62 and Halpain-1 are clearly duplicates, but the previous attempt to merge them was inexplicably rejected. Is there something I'm not seeing?

Apparently I have to be accepted as a Trusted colleague to make an immediate merge. I've worked with Matt Stidham before. He's quite active, so I'm surprised he has not yet replied. I've also upgraded some of Charles Edwards' profiles, but I don't recall him ever replying.

It has been a while since I've done a merge, I recalled that it just happens. The message I got from the system says the merge is blocked for a month (a new procedure?) to allow collaboration, and if there is no reply, then I can freely make the merge. Once that happens, I'll clean up the merger with Sarah Bishop as mother.

I could be mistaken, but it looks like I can do it. I'm new to this, so I'm not sure and I'm not trying to step on anyone's toes
