Deed from Isaac and William Wheeler to "Jeremiah Halsied of ye town of Southhampton in ye County of Suffolk on Long island in ye proviance of new yoark his heirs and assigns for as ye Legacy to his wife Anna Haoley," and also to Joseph Coite of Plainfield, similarly his wifes Experience Coits legacie.[1]
8 Sep 1714: Jeremiah Halsey of Southampton sold to James Tiler of Preston fifteen and three-quarters acres for £5.[1]
8 Sep 1714: Division of land to Jeremiah Halsey of Southampton Long Island, and Rev. Joseph Coit of Plainfield by the executor of Isaac Wheeler.[1]
1 Oct 1729: Jeremiah Halsey of Southampton, Long Island, conveyed to his son William Halsey of Southampton, "all my lands in Preston."[1]
27 May 1731: quitclaim deed from Jeremiah Halsey, Nathan Halsey, Silas Halsey, John White and Jerusha his wife; William White and Mary his wife, Experience Halsey, Abigail Halsey (all of Southampton) and Annah Peniton widow of Newark in East Jersey, all natural and lawful children of Jeremiah Halsey of Southampton, to their brother William Halsey of Southampton "all right to several Parcells ... in Preston" that had been the estate of their Grandfather Mr. Isaac Wheeler of Stonington.[1]
Experience Coite was the daughter of Isaac and Martha (Parke) Wheeler of Stonington. She had a sister Anna b. 1675, who has been mistaken for the wife of John Tongue, but from the above was Anna Wheeler.[1]

Married about 1715 Ruth. Ruth died 19 Dec 1717 in her 49th year and is buried at the Mecox Cemetery. [1]

His will was dated at Bridghampton, Suffolk, Colony of New-York, dated 20 Dec 1733, proved 5 jan 1737/8. Mentions sons Jeremiah, Nathan, Elijah; wife Deborah; daughters Experience and Abigail. In a codicil dated 24 Dec 1737, all were mentioned except Jeremiah.[1]
