Lawrence Halsted was born in the hamlet of Rowley in the township of Worsthorne in the ancient parish of Whalley, Lancashire, England in 1583/4. He was baptized on 24 February 1583/4 in St Peter's Chapel, Burnley, Lancashire.[1] He was the second son of John Halsted and Mary Sellers. Lawrence Halstead was away before 1630. [2]
