Nell (Halterman) Anderson was born in Appalachia, in Tennessee.

Nell Halterman was born on September 18, 1922 in Van Buren, Tennessee, United States, daughter of John Cleveland Halterman (1885–1970) and Sena Slatten (1886–1967).

Nell married Clyde Anderson (1910–1982)

In the 1930 census Nell (age 7) was the daughter of John Halterman in District 04, White, Tennessee, United States.^[1] John Halterman 44, wife Sena Halterman 43, daughter Joan Halterman 18, daughter Mary V Halterman 16, son John C Halterman 12, daughter Ernestine Halterman 10, daughter Nell Halterman 7.

In the 1940 census Nell (age 17) was the single daughter of John C Halterman in Civil District 4, White, Tennessee, United States.^[2] John C Halterman 54, wife Sana Halterman 53, daughter Nell Halterman 17.

Nell died on November 21, 2011 in Sparta, White, Tennessee, aged 89. She was buried in Jericho Cemetery, Quebeck, Tennessee.^[3]
