Those named below were the most mutinous and seditious at the tumultuous assembly that was held here last fall. When the government sent officers to invite this parish to side with the King, they sent envoys to invite people in neighboring parishes to join them in resisting the government’s approach and stood guard until the rebels arrived.

Almost all the habitants stood guard here last fall before the arrival of the Bostonnais to resist all the maneuvers that the Quebec garrison could have undertaken.
This parish was generally seditious and opposed to the King’s orders; in summary, zealous and very fond of the rebels. [1]
He died in 1798 at the age of 88 in Pointe-de-Lévy.
