Biography
Regina was born 14 Jul 1809 and baptized 4 Aug 1809 at Westerkerk, Amsterdam. She was the daughter of Adrianus Pieter Ham and Johanna Reijnders. [1]
She moved to Franschhoek, Paarl, Cape Colony, where her brother Pieter was minister of the Dutch Reformed Church.
On 18 Oct 1857 at Franschhoek, she married 62-year-old Abraham Albertus de Villiers. [2] He passed away December 1858.
On 13 Jul 1859 at Franschhoek, she married Gulius Edward Constant de Boer Mazier. [3]
She passed away 22 April 1880 at Good Hope Cottage, Great Drakens, Paarl; no children.
Research Notes
She gives age at death 65yr 11mo, 12days which works out to 10 May 1814. Not clear if this was just a false date; or possibly the child died and another was born in 1814 of the same name. The death record does name her parents correctly, and husband Mazier.
