DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Francis by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.

Hamblin-709 and Hamblin-697 appear to represent the same person because: These profiles appear to represent the same person because 1-This family didn't have two sons named Francis Marion Hamblin. 2-Both men have the same parents. 3-The reference to the 1880 census is the same. 4-The birth date on one of the profiles (1871) seems to be an estimate. 5- The place of birth on one of the profiles is that of his father, who has the same name, and seems to be entered incorrectly based on the 1880 census. If you look at that census, the son's birth place is listed as Utah, not Wisconsin. So if that error is corrected, these two profiles are the same.
