Marie Charlotte Hamel was born and baptized on 24 May 1691 in Notre-Dame-de-l'Annonciation parish of L'Ancienne-Lorette, Canada, Nouvelle-France. Her parents were Jean François Hamel and Anne Félicité Levasseur. Godparents at the infant's baptism were François Prevost and Marie Catherine Routier.[4]

Marriage
Marie Hamel married Pierre Plamondon, son of Philippe Plamondon and Marguerite Clément, on 2 May 1709 in Notre-Dame-de-l'Annonciation parish of L'Ancienne-Lorette. In the presence of known witnessess Lajus, Marie Clément, Gascon, Charles Quentin, François Vezinat, and Pierre Vezinat. Priests Michel Des Cormiers and Dupré celebrated the wedding. [Act states: The name of Marie Clément's late spouse is unreadable - Ten illegible names] [5]

Death and Burial
Marie Charlotte Hamel, wife of the late Pierre Lafleur, was buried on 21 Dec 1767 in Notre-Dame-de-l'Annonciation parish cemetery of L'Ancienne-Lorette, Province of Québec. The record giving her the age of around 76 years. Her exact date of death is not mentioned in the burial record.[6][7]
