Biography
Pierre Hamel, fils d'Antoine Hamel et Marie Angélique Dumont, est né et a été baptisé à Sainte-Croix le 4 mars 1864[1].
Il épouse Magdeleine Saint-Pair, fille d'Amable Champoux et défunte Marie Cormier, le 23 février 1789 à la Nativité-de-Notre-Dame-de-Bécancour[2].
Il épouse en secondes noces Marguerite Chefdevergne dite Larose, fille d'Amable Chefdevergne et Marguerite Leblanc dite Lacroix, le 28 avril 1829 à Champlain[3].
Pierre joseph Hamel, veuf de Marguerite Larose, est mort le 29 avril 1846 à Saint-Grégoire et y a été enterré le lendemain en présence de ses fils Pierre Hamel et François Hamel[4].
