Benjamin Stewart Hamilton was born in 1758 in Wake County, Province of North Carolina. His parents were William B Hamilton (1705 - 1776) and Rachel Dorman (1707 - ~1794).
He enlisted at Hillsboro Courthouse in Orange County, NC, in 1781, and served as a private in Captain Bailey's Company, 10th North Carolina Continental Army. Stewart Hamilton had migrated to Montgomery County, GA, by 1802.
Benjamin passed away on 7 Nov 1831 in Vidalia, Montgomery County, Georgia, USA aged ~73. He is buried in Kibbee, Montgomery, Georgia, USA.

Text: In the Name of God Amen. I, Stewart Hamilton, of Montgomery County and State of Georgia, being of sound and perfect mind and memory, do this fourteenth day of January, eighteen hundred and twenty-four, make this my last will and testament. That is to say, first, I give and bequeath after my death all of my property that I now possess and the increase of it to my beloved wife, Clarry Hamilton, if she should live longer than me, and at her decease, she can give the property to such of my children as she pleases. I will all to her. I give my children no part of my property except one dollars worth to each one of them is all I give them. This my last will and testament.
