Lucinda Hamilton was born in Mississippi around 1814.
Two censuses are attached. It's unclear if the 75 year old William Hamilton is the husband of Lucinda Hamilton or her father-in-law. This William Hamilton (1775- 1855) was married to Mary Bickenstaff circa 1795. The 1820 U.S. Census shows this couple living in Mississippi with 6 living children. Two of the daughters are Lucinda's age. Mary Bickenstaff Hamilton died in 1849, according to Find-A-Grave........ did William desert Mary to marry Lucinda around 1839? Or is Lucinda the widow of his son? Or is Lucinda an unwed mother living with her father? Perhaps Lucinda is an aunt of the two boys living with their grandfather?
Until the correct relationship can be established and a maiden name is established, I've presented Lucinda as William's daughter.
