He m. on 25 May 1765 Lady Harriet Stewart (d. 3 Dec 1788), 4th dau. of Alexander [Stewart], 6th Earl of Galloway, by his second wife Lady Catherine Cochrane, dau. of John [Cochrane], 4th Earl of Dundonald[1]
