Robert is working as a coal miner. April 18, 1920 Robert L. In 1930 Robert and Rose Hamilton are living with her mother May Williams, 52 years old on Water Street in Bokoshe, Leflore County Oklahoma where they now own a home. Robert is working in the Bokoshe Coal Mine as a miner.[8] Elizabeth Hamilton, 19 years old is living with her sister Lorene (Hamilton) Mason, 17 years old and her husband Hubert Franklin Mason, 23 years old in their home in Bill Johnson, Sebastian County, Arkansas.[9] Lorene and Hubert have a newborn in the home, Betty Jo Mason. He was 56 years old and living with his wife Rose (Rosie) and working for the W.P.A.[10] According to family records Robert was injured in a coal mine accident. Robert decided to become a Preacher and on November 7, 1940 he was Ordained by the Pentecostal Assemblies of Jesus Christ, Inc. at Indianapolis, Indiana and recorded in Minute Book 22.[11] Robert and Rose moved to California about 1945 and lived in Santa Barbara for a brief time before moving again to Modesto, Stanislaus County, California where he preached in the Christian faith and eventually retired. Robert was granted a Certificate of Social Insurance Award June 5, 1951[12] At the rate of a whopping $20.00 per month. They were living at 1313 Boulder Ave. Modesto, California.
