Biography
1834 Birth Edward was born about 1834 based on age 29 on his marriage certificate.
1863 Marriage Edward married Elizabeth Morris on September 5th, 1863, in the Office of the Registrar of Marriages, Dunedin. He was a 29 year old Officer in the Harbour Department, Port Chalmers. According to the marriage certificate he is a widower. [1][2] However this has yet to be confirmed.
1866 Birth of daughter Mary According to a copy of the Registrar's Return of Births, Mary was born on the 20th June, 1886. At that time, Edward is listed as a Master Mariner.
1866 Death of wife Elizabeth According to the death registry entry for Elizabeth, when she died on November the 12th, 1866, she was a widow. However we've yet to find a death for Edward
