Biography
- Ann Jane "Annie" Hamilton was born in 1877 in Newry, Co. Down, Ireland. She was the daughter of Robert Hamilton, a labourer and Margaret Hamilton (nee Copeland)[1].
- In the 1901 census Annie was age 23, working as a servant for the Thompson family at Greene, a district of Newry[2].
- Annie Hamilton married Joseph Niblock in 1906 at St Patrick's Church, Newry[3].
- By 1911 Joseph and Annie had at least two sons, Robert Hamilton Bobby Niblock and Joseph Allen. Joseph was working as manager of a coal yard, as shown in the 1911 census[4].
