Biography

Ida May Hamilton, daughter of George A. Hamilton and Abigail (Burrows) Hamilton, was born in June 1878 in New York.[1][2] She appeared on the census of 8 June 1880 in the home of her parents at Lisle, Broome County, New York.[3] She appeared on the census of 16 Feb. 1892 in the home of her parents at Lisle, Broome County, New York.[4]

She married Vernon L. Barrows, her first cousin and son of Iram Barrows and Malinda (Brown) Barrows, on 11 Oct. 1892 at Marathon, New York.[5]

She and Vernon appeared on the census of 19 June 1900 at Harford, Cortland County, New York.[6] She and Vernon were divorced on 19 Feb. 1910 in Michigan.[5]

She appeared on the census of 20 April 1910 at Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan. She reported that she was a widow, that she had three children but only two were living. Her future husband was living as a boarder in the same household.[7] She married John Scott Luker, son of Thomas Luker and Elizabeth (Scott) Luker, on 29 Aug. 1910 at Pontiac, Wayne County, Michigan.[2] She and John appeared on the census of 8 Jan. 1920 at Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan.[8] John died on 17 May 1923 at Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan.[9]

She married Charles A. Herman son of George Herman and Elizabeth (Gaylor) Herman on 21 June 1924 at Detroit, Wayne, Michigan.[1]

She and Charles appeared on the census of 11 April 1930 at Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan.[10]
