The 1955 death is correct. This is my wife's grandfather.

WEDDING. AT SS. Peter and Paul's Cathedral on Wednesday Miss Winifred G. Brogan of Currawang, daughter of the late Mr. Bryan Brogan, was married to Mr. Joseph Hamilton of Currawang, son of Mr. Alexander Hamilton senior. The Rev. Father Ryan officiated. The bride was given away by her brother, Mr. Patrick Brogan, who also noted as best man. Miss Mary Agnes Brogan, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid. Goulburn Herald , page 2 Friday 14 Sept 1900
