Sarah was born about 1783. She is the daughter of James Hamilton and Sarah Belknap. Little is known about her, but she is mentioned in her mother's will by the married name Sarah Forshey. A legal document from Catherine Hamilton mention that Sarah married Jonas Forshee who lived nearby the Hamiltons. She apparently died young, bu produced two daughters, one named Sarah who married Jacob C. Blauvelt, and the other called Isabella who married William Losier (deceased).
