Biography

Francis was born about 1767. He was the son of Nicholas Hamilton and Christian Baillie.

Francis was an Attorney at law and for a time and for some time Under Sherriff of the Queen's County, Ireland. He lived at Portarlington in that county, and afterwards in Dublin, where he died of Cholera in 1832.

He married

1. 20 Oct 1796 - Ann Cary, daughter of Henry Cary Esq. of Portarlington and Ann Gore, 3rd daughter of Annsley Gore Esq., of Beleek, Co Mayo. ^[1]

Ann died 15 August 1806.

He passed away in 1832 of cholera. He resided at Russell Place, Dublin and is buried in the Parish of St George, Dublin. ^[3]

Place, County Dublin, Attorney.

After his death members of his family emigrated to the USA.
