Biography

George Francis Hamilton was born on the 17 December, 1845. He was the son of James Hamilton, 1st Duke of Abercorn and Lady Louisa Jane Russell. He was christened on the 16 February, 1846, at Chapel Royal, Brighton, Sussex, England. He married Lady Maud Caroline, daughter of Henry Lascelles, 3rd Earl of Harewood, and Lady Louisa Thynne, on the 28 November, 1871. The couple had 3 children: Ronald James Hamilton born 26 September, 1872. Major Anthony George Hamilton born 17 December, 1874. Vice Admiral Robert Cecil Hamilton born 31 January, 1882.

He held the office of Member of Parliament for Middlesex between 1868 and 1885. He held the office of Member of Parliament for Ealing between 1885 and 1906. George Francis Hamilton held the office of Justice of Peace for Middlesex and Westminster.

He passed away on the 22 September, 1927 London, England, at age 81.
