Biography

John (Hamilton) Hamilton IVth of Grange is a member of Clan Hamilton.

John Hamilton was the son of Sir John Hamilton of Grange, and his wife, Margaret Hamilton.^[1][2]

He married Elizabeth, daughter of John Crawford of Crawfordland.^[1][2] They had two sons and six daughters,^[1] including:

1. John^[1][2]
2. Margaret, married to Robert Hunter of Kirkland.^[1]

In 1665, he was appointed curator to Patrick Hamilton of Neilsland.^[1]

John Hamilton died in April 1675.^[1][2] His testament was registered on 6 October 1675 in Glasgow, Scotland.^[2][3]
