Greetings!

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.

Hello Michael,

How are you doing? Hope you're enjoying our site.

Our vision is to build a collaborative tree. Please make sure to look for duplicates on WikiTree before adding a profile. Having dates and locations attached to every person assists in our mission as well.

Feel free to check out How To Use WikiTree. It's a great step-by-step guide.

Also Help Index with links to topics you may have questions on. Don't forget our G2G Forum where many of our generous members help each other out.

And of course, I'm here to help in any way I’m able. Just ask!

Welcome to our community, Michael. The more ancestors you add, the more likely cousins will find you and help. Be sure and take lots of photos at those cemeteries. We have a ongoing cemetery project. If interested, select the 'Find' menu, then click 'Projects' and scroll down to 'Global Cemeteries'. :)

Our Honor Code, search features, and many other useful links can be accessed from the menus on the upper right corner of most pages.

VERY IMPORTANT: The more documents, sources, dates, and locations you provide on the profiles you create, the stronger your branches and our mutual global tree will be. If you don't know the correct date, please estimate using before or after.

Thanks for helping in our mission to build a global tree with only ONE profile per person.

Hope you enjoy WikiTree

Growing up my father would stop at family cemeteries and try to explain to me the connections we had with the people there. I don't remember all the connections, but I hope to be able to recreate some of them here. I may even have to make some trips back to those cemeteries to add to our family tree.
