Harvey was born in Nova Scotia on 4 Jul 1866, the son of Alexander Hamilton and Abagail Abbott.[1]
In 1901, he was living with his housekeeper, Alice Amelia Watkins and his (or their) two young children in Barrington Head, Shelburne and Queens, Nova Scotia.[2] By 1911, they had three more children; Harvey worked as a mason.[3]
Since Sarah Belle Hamilton's birth record is a delayed record, she might have been told her mother was Alice Amelia Watkins when it was someone else.
The informant on his death certificate was his daughter, Belle Lyle.
