Biography
Thomas Hamlin (also spelled Hamblin and other variations) was born about 1830 and christened on 10 Apr 1831 at Purse Caundle, Dorset, England. He was the son of William Hamlen and Hannah Golsney[1].
Thomas married Jane Smith on 25 Apr 1853 at Purse Caundle, Dorset[2]. They had nine children: Emily Jane Hamblin (b. 1855), Anna Hamblin (b. 1857), Hugh Hamblin (b. 1859), Thomas Hamblin (b. 1861), Maria Hamblin (b. 1863), Frances Hamblin (b. 1864), Florence Hamblin (b. 1867), Charlotte Hamblin (b. 1869), James Charles Hamblin (b. 1872).
Thomas's wife Jane died in May 1872, probably while giving birth to their last child.
Thomas married Jane Shepherd in 1877 at Sherborne, Dorset[3].
Thomas died in 1914 age 82 at Sherborne, Dorset[4].
