Biography
Harris was born 17 April 1766 in Middletown, Connecticut. He was the son of William Hamlin and Hannah Allen.[1] Harris, child of William Hamlin, was baptised on 3 May 1767 in Middletown, Connecticut, United States.[2]
Harris married Rue Easton on 22 August 1787 in Wayne Township, Dauphin, Pennsylvania, United States.[3]
In the 1850 census Harris (age 83) was in Salem, Wayne, Pennsylvania, United States.[4]

Harris & Rue came from CT and settled in Salems Corners. Harris resided in Middletown, CT and moved to Russell, MA and resided there. He moved to Salem, Wayne County, PA in 1802. Other children may have been: Oliver, Amanda (wife of John Andrews). Harris, Ephraim W.,Almira, Butler and Philena (who married Volney Courtright). Philena was the only one surviving in 1886 and lived in Scranton, PA (a widow). Judge Butler Hamlin, youngest of Harris was born in Salem township 4171808. Birth date may have been 6 Dec 1766
