Hello, I'm looking for some more help with the Hammack side of my family. My grandmother was Delta Hammack her father was Benjamin Hammack married to Samantha Baughman. His father was Martin A. Hammack married to Ann E. Given. His father was William W. Hammack married to Sarah Ashley. I can go back all the way to John Hammack i only have the name and nothing else i seem to be stuck on John and i just dont know what to do, if you could please help i would greatly appreciate it. Note N00013Bryson Wiseman "Brice" Hammock was born about 1796 in wilkes co., GA. He died on 05 Jan., 1866 in Gatesville, Coryell, Texas. He was buried in Gatesville Cem., Coryell Co., TX. some of his descendants now living (1955) in Waco, Gatesville and Lampasas, Tx. Bryson removed to St. Louis Co., MO in the year 1818 and reared his family there. His wife Jane died and was buried there in 1848. Bryson lived there until 1853 when he, with two of his sons and three daughters, accompanied by two brothers, Lemuel and William emigrated to TX near Gatesville. Bryson was a farmer, but for 20 years while living in MO served as President of the County court, and after removing to TX was elected Coryell County Judge in 1857, serving in that capacity until near the time of his death in 1886. Bryson fought in the war of 1812 at the Battle of New Orleans.
