Don Hanmer was an American actor. He began on the Broadway stage. He also appeared on television and in films.
Donald Lester Hammar was born on October 17, 1919, in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, United States. His father was Morris J. Hammar and his mother was Cora U. Anderson.[1] He changed the spelling of his last name to Hanmer.
Don served his country in World War II as a private in the United States Army Air Corps.[2]
He married twice. His first wife was actress Jocelyn P. Brando (1919-2005), the sister of actor Marlon Brando, Jr. There was one male child from this union.
Donald Lester Hamner died at the age of eighty-three years on May 24, 2003, in Monterey, Monterey County, California.
His earthly remains are buried at Monterey City Cemetery, Monterey, Monterey County, California.[4]
