When Mary Theresa "Tessie" Hammel was born in 1889 in Eardley, Quebec, Canada, her father, James, was 14, and her mother, Elizabeth, was 18.

She married David Stewart Lusk and they had two children together.

She then married Clarence Edgar Jones on April 22, 1926, in Hull, Quebec, Canada.

She died on August 21, 1966, in Quebec, Canada, at the age of 77.
