John Hammond was born on 4 October 1701 in Rochester, Plymouth, Massachusetts Bay to Samuel & Mary Hammond. [1]

'of Rochester' - 1728 marriage record 'He was chosen town clerk [of Falmouth] in 1736, and selectman and assessor in 1739, and was a pew-holder in 1756.' [2] 'He has many descendents in Maine, New hampshire and some in eastern New York.' [3] Children :
