Biography

Robert Glenn Hammond was born on 30 Sept 1928 to Elliott Eldon Hammond and Ethel L. Bailey Hammond.^[1][2] His U.S., Department of Veterans Affairs file shows his birth on the same day in 1929.^[3]

In 1930, Bobby Hammond lived with his father Elliot Hammond, a letter carrier, and Ethel Hammond and brother Edward in Sedalia, Pettis, Missouri.^[4]

In 1940, Bobby Hammond lived in Sedalia with his parents, Elliot and Ethel Hammond, and brother Edward. Elliot was a letter carrier for the post office.^[5] Robert Glenn Hammond and Margaret Walton were married on 6 Nov 1952 in Sedalia, Pettis, Missouri. Both were residents of Sedalia.^[6] Margaret and Robert divorced about 1959.

Robert died on 4 July 1994 and is buried at the Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia Pettis, Missouri: Plot: Block 19A. His gravestone shows that he was a "S Sgt., US Air Force, Korea."^[1]
