Violet Irene Hammond was born in 1913 in Moss Vale, in New South Wales' Southern Highlands, Australia. She was the eldest child and only daughter of Henry Hammond and Ivy Herrington. [1] The family later moved to New South Wales' Central Coast.
Aged 67 years and single, Violet passed away in 1980 in Caringbah, in New South Wales' Sutherland Shire. [2]
