Biography
Herbert was born March 5, 1876 to Joseph Hammond and Ellen Barrell.
On August 19, 1905 at the age of 28 he married Stella Freeman.
At the time of the birth of their daughter Stella, Herbert's occupation was listed in her birth record as being that of carpenter.[1]
