1884 - Grover William Hampel was born April 30 in Indiana. He was a son of Godfrey Hampel and Marie Strauch.
1910 - He was living in Fort Wayne, Indiana with his mother, his sister Louisa and his brother Curtis. It is assumed that his parents had divorced at this time.[1]
1914 - He married Katherine Ehrmann on April 30 at her father's home in Adams County, Indiana.[2]
1917 - They had one daughter, Elizabeth who was born August 5 in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
He worked for many years as an inspector for the Pennsylvania Railroad and owned several homes in Fort Wayne. [3] [4]
1942 - His daughter married Paul Davis, and they returned to Seattle, Washington where he was serving with the US Army during WW II.
1948 - He died August 2 and was buried at Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
